Committed for all round development of rural areas of State: CM Dhami

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has said that the State government is leaving no stone unturned for the all round development of rural areas.
He was speaking at the Janata Milan programme organized at Gautam farm in Landhaura in Haridwar on Friday. Dhami said that the all round development of rural areas is the priority of his government. In the programme, he announced that the Landhaura- Laksar road will be named after the late Raja Narendra Singh.
The CM also paid rich tributes to former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.
The CM said that the State government is working at a fast pace in the fields of education, health, roads and infrastructure. He claimed that more than 30 new policies have been formulated to increase self employment opportunities.
The investment and employment opportunities are increasing in the State. The CM averred that one lakh women are now Lakhpati Didis in the State and the farmers are getting interest free loan upto Rs three lakh. He said that 80 per cent subsidy is being given in the farm machinery bank. The farmers are getting facilities of free irrigation from the canals and the purchase price of sugarcane has also been hiked.
The CM said that the Ganga of Uniform Civil Code (UCC) has emanated from Uttarakhand and the entire country will benefit from it. He said that a strict anti-cheating law has been enacted in the State and appointments have been given to more than 19,000 youngsters in different departments after a transparent recruitment process.
Dhami said that under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi construction of panchdeep is being done at the important places associated with B R Ambedkar. He said that the State government has also taken many measures to strengthen the SC and STs.
District Panchayat president Kiran Chaudhary, MLA Roorkee Pradeep Batra and others were present on the occasion.
