Conduct board exams in a peaceful, fair manner: UVSP to CEOs

The secretary of the Uttarakhand Vidyalayi Shiksha Parishad (UVSP) Vinod Simalti directed the chief education officers (CEOs) of all the districts to ensure that the board examinations for Classes X and XII are conducted peacefully and fairly. He gave this directive at a meeting convened by UVSP on Wednesday concerning the board examinations for the year 2025.

Simlati directed the CEOs to be on their maximum alert to stop cheating and any kind of malpractice during the exam. He also stressed on the importance of collecting the question papers at each exam centre strictly conforming to the norms like involving the administrators and custodians. 

Notably, this year the examinations for the said classes are commencing on February 21 and will continue till March 11. A total of 1, 11,420 institutional candidates and 2,268 individual candidates- totaling 1,13,688 -are to sit for the Class X exam while for Class XII will involve 10,52,98 institutional candidates and 4,401 individual candidates, totaling 10,96,99.  The exams will be held at 1,245 examination centres across the State which include 165 sensitive and five highly sensitive centres. A total of 13 main collection centres and 26 sub-collection centres will be set up across the State.
