Cong appoints observers for selecting candidate for Badrinath by election

The Uttarakhand Congress has appointed observers for preparing a panel for selecting the party candidate for the upcoming Badrinath Assembly by election.
The in charge of Uttarakhand Congress, Kumari Selja chaired a virtual meeting with the leaders of Uttarakhand Congress. The meeting was attended by the Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president Karan Mahara, leader of opposition (LoP) in th Assembly Yashpal Arya, former PCC president Ganesh Godiyal, All India Congress Committee (AICC) secretary Qazi Nizamuddin, Congress deputy leader in assembly Bhuwan Kapdi, president of Chamoli Congress Mukesh Negi and Amarjeet Singh.
The PCC president Mahara said that the party has appointed observers for selecting the panel of candidates for Badrinath by election. The party has appointed Pratapnagar MLA Vikram Singh Negi as chief observer while Mahendra Singh Negi will be the co observer. former minister Mantri Prasad Naithani will also assist the observers. Mahara said that observers will soon visit Badrinath and meet all the claimants of Congress ticket there. He said that nine leaders have staked their claim for the party ticket in Badrinath by sending their bio- data to the PCC. Mahara said that based on the report of the observers, the PCC will prepare a panel and forward it to the AICC.
The PCC president said that there are many claimants for the party’s ticket in Badrinath so after discussion with senior leaders on the report of the observers, the party will declare its candidates for Badrinath and Manglaur Assembly by elections.
