Criticising Congress leaders for their refusal to participate in the consecration ceremony of the Ram temple in Ayodhya, the BJP said that the Congress is boycotting the event due to their anti-temple attitude. The State President Mahendra Bhatt said that Congress must remember that people will boycott the Congress in elections just like they boycotted the temple. He said that it was unfortunate that Congress leaders refused to attend the consecration but it was expected from them considering their anti-temple attitude. Their refusal has brought the reality of the Congress leaders before the public who show off their sacred thread for political gains, visit temples and claim to have seen Lord Ram in their dreams during elections. Bhatt said that Congress leaders could not muster the courage to come to Ayodhya as they had been opposing Lord Ram Temple and Sanatan Dharma all their lives. It was meaningless to expect the Congress to arrive at Ram Temple as it is the party that accepted the concept of a separate Muslim nation to please the minority for votes, let people massacre cow devotees in front of the Parliament, called Lord Ram imaginary, tortured the agitating Ram devotees and supported the reconstruction of the mosque, alleged Bhatt. He said that it is unfortunate how Congress accused the BJP of using the Ram Temple for political gains but never mentions it when similar decisions are taken for minority communities in the country. This proves that it is more crucial for Congress to oppose Prime Minister Narendra Modi than participating in the glorious occasion of Sanatan Dharma in Ayodhya, the BJP minister added.
