Cong coordination committee prepares strategy for Kedarnath bypoll

A meeting of the coordination committee of the Uttarakhand Congress was organised at the Rajiv Bhawan on Saturday. In the meeting discussion on party’s strategy for the upcoming Kedarnath bypoll and the Urban Local Bodies (ULB) elections was held.
The Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president Karan Mahara said that the party will contest the Kedarnath Assembly by-election in a united manner. He said that the duties to the senior leaders will be assigned in Kedarnath and the party will raise both local and basic issues of the people of the State in the by- election. Mahara said that the Congress party is fully prepared for the Kedarnath bypoll and it has appointed Mandal, Block and Nagar-in- charges in the constituency.
The co- incharge of State Congress, Surendra Sharma said that the Congress party will give a fitting reply to the propaganda of the BJP in the bypoll. He said that the Congress will restore the tradition and honour of Kedarnath temple.
The Leader of Opposition (LoP) in State Assembly Yashpal Arya said the BJP works only to fulfil its vested interests and it is not concerned about the public issues.
Former PCC president Ganesh Godiyal said that like it did in Champawat, Manglaur and Badrinath by-elections, BJP wants to create an atmosphere of anarchy in Kedarnath as well.
The deputy leader of Congress legislature party (CLP) Bhuwan Kapdi, former cabinet minister Harak Singh Rawat, Navprabhat, MLAs Mamta Rakesh and Vikram Singh Negi, Hira Singh Bisht and others attended the meeting of the coordination committee.
Cong appoints MLA Negi & Tiwari as incharges in Kedarnath
DEHRADUN :The PCC president Karan Mahara has appointed Pratapnagar MLA Vikram Singh Negi and Almora MLA Manoj Tiwari as the incharges of the party for Kedarnath bypoll. Former MLA Lalit Pharswan and Jayendra Ramola have been appointed as the co- incharges for the crucial bypoll.
