Cong demands white paper on TSR’s ‘rampant mining’ accusation

PIONEER NEWS SERVICE/ Dehradun
In latest news from Doon, stepping up its attack on the State government left nursing its wounds in the aftermath of the former chief minister and the Haridwar MP Trivendra Singh Rawat’s highly critical observation made in the Parliament on rampant mining activities in the State, the opposition Congress demanded the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami to have a white paper published.
Speaking on the issue, the party spokesperson and the State party vice-president Dhirendra
Pratap asked the CM to break his stony silence. “The issue is serious and it warrants the CM’s statement,” he said, adding that no one is taking the mining secretary’s rebuttal seriously. “The people will be satisfied by nothing less than a white paper detailing things to dispel their doubt once and for all,” he said.
However, in same breath, he slammed TSR for his ‘lion-dog’ dig at the State government officers.
