Cong hold protest on denial of temple entry to Gandhi in Assam

The Congress workers held a demonstration here on Tuesday to register their protest for denial of permission to Rahul Gandhi by the Assam government to visit a temple on January 22. Led by the President of Mahanagar Congress, Jaswinder Singh Gogi the workers raised slogans and burned the effigies of Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and BJP government.
Speaking on the occasion Gogi said that the BJP has completely destroyed the democratic values. He said that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has given a slogan of ‘ Daro Mat’ and his Yatra will not get affected by such gimmicks of BJP. Gogi said that the fact is that the BJP has got frightened by huge response the Yatra of Rahul Gandhi is getting in Assam.
He said that BJP wants to control entire country from centre while Congress believes in ruling hearts of the people by connecting to local people and it the basic difference between the two parties.
The vice president of State Congress Puran Singh Rawat, general secretary MS Negi, Manish Nagpal and others attended the protest.
