The Uttarakhand unit of the Congress party is continuing its combative attitude on the comment made by former chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat in which he allegedly referred to the murderer of Mahatma Gandhi as a patriot.
On Wednesday the officiating Mahanagar President of the SC cell of Dehradun Lucky Rana registered a complaint against the former CM at the Cant police station. In his complaint Rana said that by terming the murderer of Gandhi as patriot Trivendra Singh Rawat has insulted 133 crore people of India.
He added that when the entire country was fighting the battle of independence under the leadership of Mahatma Gandhi some self proclaimed organisations were informers of the British. Many workers of the Congress party accompanied Rana in the police station.
