Cong poised to return to power in U’khand: Pritam

Back in the provisional state capital after a four day long tour of Garhwal region, the Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president, Pritam Singh has said that the people of the state are waiting eagerly for the chance to throw BJP out of the power in the state. Talking to the media persons here at the state headquarters of the Congress party on Friday, the PCC president said that enthusiasm was witnessed among the party workers and people during his tour and it is clear that the people are fed up with the government. He claimed that Congress party is all set to return to power in Uttarakhand.

Launching an attack on the chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat, the PCC President said that the Uttarakhand High Court (HC) had directed a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) inquiry on corruption charges but he is running away from it. On the statement of Uttar Pradesh (UP) chief minister (CM) Yogi Adityanath during his recent visit to the state that the issue of assets between UP and Uttarakhand is settled, the Congress leader said that the CM of Uttarakhand should clear the air on the issue. He also attacked the BJP government of Uttarakhand for handing over a prime piece of land to the UP government for construction of a tourist bungalow. “ It appears that the Uttarakhand government is on a gifting spree to the UP even as the issue of distribution of assets between the two states is pending,’’ he said.
