A viral video in which a person is being thrashed in Garhi Dakra area of Dehradun on Friday in presence of cabinet minister Ganesh Joshi has given an opportunity to the Congress party to attack the BJP government of the State.
Terming the incident as unfortunate the Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president Karan Mahara said that the minister neither tried to intervene in the fracas nor informed the police about it and remained a mere spectator.
He said that it is unfortunate that someone gets thrashed in presence of a minister and instead of acting on those taking the law in their hands, the police apprehends the victim and not attackers.
The PCC president said that everyone in the State knows about minister Joshi. He claimed that in Ansal Green Valley the house of a trader was attacked by a mob led by councillors allegedly at the behest of minister Joshi.
