Questioning the foundation stone laying ceremony of symbolic Kedarnath Dham in Delhi on Wednesday, the Uttarakhand Congress has expressed its protest on the subject. The chief spokesperson of State Congress Garima Dasauni said that the ceremony is an insult to Dhams of the Devbhoomi and the Sanatan Dharma. She said that first the BJP became instrumental in making dozens of Shankaracharya against the Vedic tradition of four Shankaracharya and now it is fiddling with the glory of Jyotirlingas.
The spokesperson of State Congress Sheeshpal Bisht said that as per the Shiva Puran there are 12 Jyotirlingas and Kedarnath ji is one of them and occupies a special place. He said that the constructing symbolic temples of Jyotirlingas will set a wrong precedent.
