Former president of Congress Rahul Gandhi and the national general secretary Priyanka Gandhi are among 30 star campaigners of the Congress party for the Champawat by-elections. The general secretary (Organisation) of the Uttarakhand Congress Vijay Saraswat said that the list has been released on the order of Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president Karan Mahara. Apart from Rahul and Priyanka the list also includes national general secretaries K C Venugopal, Mukul Wasnik, Randip Singh Surjewala, in charge of Uttarakhand Congress Devendra Yadav, PCC president Karan Mahara, Congress Legislature Party (CLP) leader Yashpal Arya, former chief minister Harish Rawat, co in-charge Rajesh Dharmani, Rajya Sabha MP Pradeep Tamta, former deputy CM of Rajasthan Sachin Pilot, Qazi Nizamuddin, former PCC presidents Pritam Singh, Ganesh Godiyal, former Assembly speaker Govind Singh Kunjwal, Harak Singh Rawat, Mayukh Mahar, Mahendra Singh Mahra, MLAs Tilak Raj Behed, Adesh Chauhan, Gopal Singh Rana, Sumit Hridayesh, Ranjit Singh Rawat, Prakash Joshi, president of Youth Congress S Bhullar, Women Congress president Jyoti Gairola and NSUI president Mohan Bhandari.
