The Uttarakhand BJP has said that the Congress party is now frightened by the insult of OBCs by its leader Rahul Gandhi and its leaders are now giving every kind of excuse in support of Rahul. Reacting to the accusations of the Congress leader Bhakta Charan Das, the president of Uttarakhand unit of BJP, Mahendra Bhatt said that Congress leaders would not have to travel the length and breadth of the country to give excuses if Rahul Gandhi had tendered an apology in the court. He said that the Congress party should ask its leader to submit an apology to the nation and to the OBC community. Terming the accusation levelled by the Congress that there is no internal democracy in the BJP as laughable, the BJP president said that the people who follow the directives of a family and giving sermons to the people now. Bhatt said that BJP is a cadre based party where the worker is bigger than the leader. On the other hand the policy decisions in the Congress party are taken by only one family, he said.
Bhatt said that it is surprising that on one hand the Congress party is raising questions on the independence of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and Enforcement Directorate (ED) and on the other it is demanding probes by these very agencies in Uttarakhand. He said that the Congress party is playing the politics of convenience in its demands and investigation which is not possible. The President of Uttarakhand BJP said that the Congress party is now engaged in hypocrisy of Satyagraha in the country after making fun of freedom of expression. It is time for therepentment for its actions. Bhatt said that the Congress party neither has faith in judiciary nor believes in constitutional bodies and is increasingly getting relegated to margin.
