Cong survey blames MCD, Health Dept for failure on dengue front

The Uttarakhand Congress has claimed that in a survey conducted by it the people of Dehradun have blamed the Municipal Corporation of Dehradun (MCD) and Health department for failure to control the spread of dengue in the city. Sharing the survey report with the media persons at the headquarters of the State Congress here on Thursday the chief spokesperson of Uttarakhand Congress Garima Dasauni said that it was done on 400 people in Dehradun. She said that in the survey a maximum number (146) of people held the MCD responsible for failure on the dengue front. Similarly 87, 60 and 29 persons found the Health department, Smart City project and district administration respectively responsible for their plight. She said that the Congress workers also shared their numbers with these people and promised to help them in case of any requirement of platelets. Dasauni said that the data in the survey are correct and any one can cross check them. The president of Mahanagar Congress Jaswinder Singh Gogi said that dengue has taken epidemic proportions. He alleged that the government is hiding the deaths from the disease. The president of Parva Doon Congress Mohit Uniyal said that the hospitals are extorting money from the dengue patients. He said that the government is not giving the actual data of dengue patients.
