Cong to contest Lok Sabha polls on public interest issues: Khanduri
Party to focus on women safety, price rise, unemployment, OROP, Agniveer, corruption and poor law & order situation

Uttarakhand Congress leader Manish Khanduri has said that the party will contest the Lok Sabha polls on the issues of public interests. Interacting with the mediapersons at Rajiv Bhawan here on Tuesday he said that on the orders of the Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president Karan Mahara, district conventions are being organised in all parts of the State. These conventions are being organised in view of the Lok Sabha elections.
He said that district conventions have already been organised in organisational districts of Devprayag, Chamoli, Rudraprayag and Pauri and the block presidents, booth presidents, Nagar presidents, party candidates in the Vidhan Sabha elections and office bearers of the party unit are taking part in these conventions.
Khanduri said that the party is preparing strategy for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in the State.
He disclosed that the women safety, price rise, unemployment, one rank one pension, Agniveer scheme, increasing corruption and pathetic law and order conditions are some of the major issues on which the party will focus in the Lok Sabha elections. He averred that the party will go to the people with the issue of atrocities on women and Ankita Bhandari murder case.
Khanduri said that the people of the State are fed up with the mal administration of the BJP government and are now eager to get rid from the misrule of the party.
The spokesperson of the party Garima Dasauni and Sheeshpal Singh Bisht were present on the occasion.
