Cong works for women welfare & empowerment: Mahara

A minority women felicitation programme was organised by a Congress worker Mohammad Farooq in Dharampur on Monday. Speaking on the occasion the Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president Karan Mahara said that the Congress party has always worked for women welfare and their empowerment. He said that the country should be saved from the divisive forces. Former chief minister Harish Rawat said that during the regime of Congress party many policies were formulated by the State government for the women, elderly and youth and the people still remember the Congress party for these policies.
He said that unity and communal harmony should be conserved.
The Mahanagar president Jaswinder Singh Gogi said that people should defeat BJP in the Lok Sabha election. The party’s vice president Puran Singh Rawat, state spokesman Sheeshpal Singh Bisht and others were present on the occasion.
