Congress & allies conspiring to mar atmosphere in State & nation: BJP

PIONEER EDGE NEWS SERVICE/Dehradun

The Bharatiya Janata Party has accused the Congress and its allies of conspiring to mar the atmosphere in the State and across the country through its protest movements.

The BJP State president and Rajya Sabha member Mahendra Prasad Bhatt advised the Congress party to accept reality and respect the democratic process. The doors to power are opened not by anarchy, but by public opinion, he said.

Bhatt said that only voters have the right to change the government, but Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and the opposition want to gain power through street anarchy. With the support of the public, the BJP will never allow the ambitions of those who want to turn the country into Bangladesh or Nepal to be fulfilled. In the State, the government will be elected by the voters of Uttarakhand, not by any Bangladeshi infiltrator.

He opined that the protests being carried out by the Congress and its allies are a conspiracy to mar the atmosphere of the State and the country. “They tried to hold the parliament hostage and are now engaged in the mission of making the credibility of the top democratic election body doubtful. In this sequence, crossing all limits of morality and anarchy, all the opposition leaders including Gandhi demonstrated in the Supreme Court with the intention of threatening the judicial process,” Bhatt said.

He said that the statements now emanating from the Congress party and its leftist allies regarding regime change clearly expose their anti-national intentions. In fact, the Congress party’s entire history is marked by the misuse of democratic institutions. That’s why, since the electoral process was reformed and new systems like voter cards and EVMs were developed, the Congress has not won a majority. “When the country elected the NDA government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2014 due to rampant corruption and anti-religious and anti-national policies of the previous Congress-led government, all doors to a comeback were closed for the Congress. This is why the Congress has been repeatedly rebuffed for its lies, confusion, rumors and negative politics. Therefore, the desperate Congress, seeing no way to recover with the support of the people, is now playing into the hands of foreign powers,” the BJP State president said.

Calling the current developments unfortunate, he said that today, the Congress’ poster boys and poster girls have become those who earlier stood with terrorists and celebrated the martyrdom of soldiers at JNU. These same people are now openly admitting that they want to implement a regime change through anarchy, similar to Bangladesh. They had no qualms about massacring thousands of Hindus during the coup there, and they intend to do the same in India. This clearly indicates that Congress is fully in league with anti-national forces and their divisive thinking. Bhatt stressed that India is the world’s oldest and largest democracy, in which the power to change power rests solely with the voters. He also warned that the public will not allow those who believe they cannot be elected to power through conspiracy theories to usurp the nation’s power at any cost, he added.
