The Uttarakhand Congress has said that the constitution of the expert committee by the Speaker Ritu Khanduri is a failed attempt to douse the raging fire. The media in charge of Uttarakhand Congress Rajeev Mehrishi said that the loss caused to the youngsters of the State cannot be compensated.
Former MLA of Kedarnath, Mano Rawat said that the speaker should have set up an all party subcommittee of the Assembly to investigate the case. This committee has powers to seek legal opinion from experts, he opined.
The Congress spokesperson Garima Dasauni said that considering the big names involved in the case, a high power committee should have been constituted by the speaker.
