Responding to the ‘Mere Vikas Ka Hisab Do’ campaign of the Congress, the Bharatiya Janata Party State media in-charge Manveer Singh Chauhan termed it laughable. He said that the BJP is approaching the public with its 10-year report card and will get the blessing of the public in the form of electoral victory.
Talking to the media here on Friday, Chauhan said that the nation has changed considerably in the past 10 years but the negative thinking and anti-national mentality of the Congress has not changed.
“During this decade it was on the basis of the performance of the government under Prime Minister Narendra Modi that he was re-elected for the second time with a bigger majority than the previous time. The Congress, having set a record for facing embarrassing defeats repeatedly, is now going to set a record for campaigns and movements based on false and baseless issues. It is the Congress which should give an account of what happened to the more than a dozen movements it had announced during the past six months. Most campaigns were limited to announcements while it was forced to close some campaigns which were rejected by the public. In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the public re-elected us on the basis of the works done in the past five years. Similarly, this time we are approaching the public with the historic development works and welfare schemes of the Modi government,” Chauhan said.
