The Uttarakhand Congress has demanded a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) inquiry in the Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UKSSSC), examination paper leak case. It has also demanded that the State government should invoke provisions of National Security Act (NSA) on the culprits of the paper leak case and impound their properties.
The Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president Karan Mahara told media persons at Rajiv Bhawan here on Monday that the Special Task Force (STF) which is investigating the case is an agency of State government but it has been established now that people from Uttar Pradesh are also involved in the paper leak case so the case should now handed over to the CBI. The deputy leader of Congress legislature Party (CLP), Bhuwan Kapdi said that the police should also register a FIR against the former chairman and the secretary of the commission. He said that it is now coming to fore that papers of the all recruitment examinations of the UKSSSC were leaked in the past which shows that the chairman and secretary failed to discharge their duties. He said that a company which was entrusted with conducting the examinations was black listed in neighbouring Uttar Pradesh (UP). Kapdi added that the pictures of Hakam Singh, who is being touted as the kingpin of the examination paper leak case with BJP leaders, top officers of police and administration are viral on social media. He said that the morale of the youngsters is affected by the paper leak case.
