The chief spokesperson of Uttarakhand Congress Garima Dasauni has said that the State government should ensure an impartial inquiry in the disproportionate assets case against cabinet minister Ganesh Joshi. She said that the State government should allow the Vigilance department to interrogate the minister and initiate inquiry against him.
She said that though the Judge Manish Mishra who had ordered investigation in the case against Joshi has been transferred, it will make no difference in the case. Interacting with the mediapersons at headquarters of State Congress on Monday Dasauni said that the allegations against Joshi stand and the people of State are waiting for the approval of the Dhami cabinet for initiating Vigilance inquiry against him.
The cabinet has to take a decision before October 8 in the case. Dasauni said that she is confident that the BJP government which orders ED and CBI inquiries against opposition leaders on petty cases will not hesitate to order vigilance inquiry against one of its ministers. She said that the BJP government headed by chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has got a golden opportunity to win the confidence of the people of the state by initiating inquiry against Minister Joshi.
