Congress exposing its character again by opposing demolition of encroachment: BJP

The Bharatiya Janata Party has opined that Congress exposes its real face whenever the government takes action against illegal constructions and actions. The party alleged that most of the old encroachments and illegal religious structures were constructed with the support of the Congress leaders and the party.
The BJP State spokesman Vipin Kainthola said, “We are stating clearly that the Congress indulges mainly in Muslim appeasement. Its character has been exposed repeatedly. This time, its opposition following the demolition of the illegal structure in the Government Doon Medical College hospital premises only proves that all the illegal constructions and old encroachments in the State were orchestrated with the support of Congress leaders and the Congress party,” he said.
It is pertinent to mention here that the State government under chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has been demolishing illegal religious structures on public land in various parts of the State. In majority of the cases, the religious structures were found to be hollow- no remains of any purported ‘saint’ under the Mazar.
At a time when the Parliament has passed the Waqf Amendment Act, the Congress seeking validity from the Waqf board in the case of the illegal Mazar demolished in the GDMC hospital premises is being questioned by many.
