To counter the political advantage the BJP hoped to garner from the PM’s mega show in Kedarnath and its live telecast in all the 12 Jyotirlingas and Shakti Peethas, the leaders of Uttarakhand Congress offered prayers in Shiva temples in different parts of the state.
Former CM Harish Rawat offered prayers at Til Bhandeshwar and Daksheshwar temple in Haridwar. The CLP leader Pritam Singh offered prayers at Prithvinath Mahadev temple in Dehradun on the day.
