Former chief minister Harish Rawat and leader of opposition Yashpal Arya headed a protest march by the Congress against rising inflation, unemployment and corruption.
Rawat said that there is anger in the public against inflation, unemployment and corruption in Uttarakhand. Arya said that the voice of the youth will be raised by the Congress on the roads and in the Assembly regarding issues like rising inflation, corruption and law and order, because the Congress is the voice of the people. He said that the government had promised jobs to more than 25,000 youth despite which the unemployment rate in Uttarakhand has remained high.
