Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that the Congress party has always engaged in the politics of vote bank and appeasement. He was addressing a public meeting at New Tehri in support of BJP candidate for the post of chairperson of the municipal council Shobhna Dhanola and councillor candidates of the party on Monday.
He said that on one hand the BJP government has always taken concrete steps for conservation and promotion of Sanatan culture in the State, the Congress supports those who favour reinstating article 370 of the constitution. The CM averred that the BJP government of the State is working in a dedicated manner for taking the State to the new heights of development. He said that improvement in health and education services and extension of services in every sector are in the priority of the State government. Development works in the region will boost tourism and the local economy, he said.
The CM said that the State government is bringing a stringent land law which will be in the interest of the people of the State. He added that the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) will be implemented in the State before the end of this month. The CM said that the UCC will ensure equality and justice in the society.
Dhami appealed to the people of the Chamba and New Tehri to support the BJP in the election of the municipal council.
Tehri MLA Kishore Upadhyaya, BJP district president Rajesh Nautiyal, former minister Dinesh Dhanai, former MLA Dhan Singh Negi and others also addressed the public meeting.
