Congress questions govt following revelations by estranged wife of former BJP MLA

Uttarakhand Congress has questioned the State government on a viral video in which a woman has claimed to make new revelations on the sensational Ankita Bhandari murder case. In the video, a woman, Urmila Sanawar who claims to be second wife of former BJP MLA Suresh Rathore makes mention of one ‘ Gattu’ and murder of Ankita Bhandari during a conversation with her estranged husband.
The vice president of State Congress Dhirendra Pratap said that the viral video suggests that former BJP MLA Rathore is linked with ‘ Gattu”. He said that the murder of Ankita Bhandari had shocked every citizen of Uttarakhand. Pratap said that the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami should ask the agencies to expose the identity of ‘ Gattu’.
The chief spokesperson of State Congress Garima Dasauni said that the new revelations have posed serious questions. She said that it is now clear that the truth is yet to come out in the barbaric murder of Ankita Bhandari. She said that right from day one, the BJP government of Uttarakhand was trying to protect powerful people associated with the party. Dasauni said that the silence of BJP is concerning in the wake of new revelations. She said that the Congress demands a fair, impartial and transparent inquiry on all the aspects of the Ankita Bhandari murder case so that the culprits receive no political protection.
