Congress searching for base through rally: Kaushik
The Bharatiya Janata Party state president Madan Kaushik opined that the protest rally organise by the Congress in Srinagar was an attempt of a party which had lost public support to find a base. The BJP state president said that the Congress has no moral right to speak on corruption and should instead first look into its own actions. He said, “The Congress will have to contemplate as to why its government shrunk to 11 in 2017. Corruption was at its peak during the term of the Congress government and a number of sting operations were carried out on the party leaders and their followers. The promises made to the public by the BJP before the elections have been fulfilled. The nation and state have been provided with a transparent government with zero tolerance for corruption.”
Kaushik further said that while the Congress is talking about development now, it wasted five years in power struggles and is now feigning concern. The Congress has failed to even discharge its responsibility of the opposition. Four years have been wasted by that party in internal struggles and upmanship. The people will not forgive the Congress, said Kaushik. Regarding the allegations levelled by the Congress, the BJP state president said that the nation’s economy had remained okay even during the Covid-19 pandemic. While the Congress is complaining about price rise, it is known to all that the level of inflation is lowest now in the past 25 years.
