Congress seeking excuses for impending electoral loss yet again: BJP
PNS | DEHRADUN
The Bharatiya Janata Party has claimed that the Congress, which cites communal aspects at times and accuses misuse of governmental machinery at times, is simply seeking excuses to blame its impending electoral loss upon in the urban local body elections. The people have made up their minds and the Congress is going to get a befitting reply soon, the BJP State media in-charge Manveer Singh Chauhan said.
Referring to the case of alleged spit Jihad in Bageshwar, he said that those who accuse the BJP of contesting elections on communal lines remain silent when such instances are brought to light. “The BJP has enacted strict laws against love Jihad and land Jihad. Strict action will be taken against actions as in the case of the latest incident. The people of Uttarakhand will not tolerate such a mentality. The public has made up its mind to teach a lesson to those who support such a mentality,” Chauhan said.
The BJP State media in-charge further opined that the complaints being made by the Congress to the State Election Commission are baseless, adding that the public will not be duped by such ploys of the Congress. The position of the Congress is so dire that it has not yet been able to communicate its vision to the public for the urban local bodies whereas the BJP is working to communicate its manifesto to each voter, he said.
“The Congress should stop dreaming about winning the elections by exploiting the narrative of communalism or casteism because the people know the reality. The public is well aware of what the Congress offers when it comes to development and a vision for the future, especially considering the numerous scams orchestrated during the Congress’ term in office. The Congress is going to suffer a major jolt in this local body election,” Chauhan said.
