The Bharatiya Janata Party State spokesman Ravinder Jugran has stressed that the Congress should clarify its stand regarding the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). He said that the statements of the Congress leaders regarding the CBI are self contradictory. Jugran said, “Since the BJP led NDA government assumed office at the Centre, the Congress has been calling the CBI a puppet or parrot of the Centre.
The Congress has often alleged that the CBI is the BJP’s investigation agency. On the other hand, all leaders of the Congress in Uttarakhand including the Pradesh Congress Committee president, leader of opposition and former PCC president have been demanding that a CBI investigation should be ordered into the recruitment scams coming to light in the State. The deputy leader of the Congress legislature party, Bhuwan Kapdi has approached the Uttarakhand High Court seeking a CBI probe into the recruitment scams,” said Jugran.
He said that the Congress should put forth its official stand regarding the CBI. It appears as if there are two views regarding the CBI in the Congress, or that all have different opinions, said the BJP State spokesman.
