Stating that the Congress has incurred the sin of propaganda regarding Kedarnath Dham, the Bharatiya Janata Party said that the people will teach it a lesson in the Kedarnath Assembly bypoll. The BJP State president Mahendra Bhatt said that the controversy created over Kedarnath Dham is a result of the opposition’s propaganda. “Every devotee in the world knows that the Dham established by Adi Shankaracharya cannot be tampered with. These temples are in the Himalayan and it is not possible for anybody to lessen their importance in any way. Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and the party have already made it clear that the establishment of any other shrine in the name of Kedar Dham will not be allowed in any other place. Despite this, the Congress is incurring sin by spreading misinformation and rumours on this issue to gain political mileage. The Congress wants to affect the Kedarnath Yatra by doing so. Earlier, the Congress had spread lies on registration, facilities and other aspects to sabotage the Char Dham Yatra. Considering this, the people of Kedarnath will certainly punish the Congress in the coming Assembly bypoll in the constituency. The Congress has objected to lord Ram’s place and didn’t like the assistance being provided to Jyotirmath. Now they are conspiring to affect the Char Dham Yatra by creating a new controversy,” the BJP State president said.
