He said that the image of the State which is also called Devbhoomi is being tarnished by such incidents. Arya said that everyone should work together to save the girls and women from those who commit such heinous crimes. He also highlighted the need for keeping the procedures of law separate from politics and having stringent laws to deal with such cases.
Hridayesh said that the head of every resident of the State is hanging in shame due to increasing cases of crimes and atrocities on women. He said that every Congress worker should take up a pledge to safeguard every woman in the State.
Mahanagar Congress president Govind Bisht said that women’s security should be associated with national dignity and stringent provisions should be made in the law to ensure strict punishment to those engaging in such acts.
