Leaders should desist from levelling allegations sans proof, says Chauhan

Following the allegations levelled by the Congress on the Bharatiya Janata Party State general secretary (Organisation) and other party leaders, the BJP State media in-charge Manveer Singh Chauhan said that the arbitrary allegations are a result of the frustration and desperation being experienced by Congress leaders due to repeated electoral losses. He alleged that the Congress is indulging in low level politics.
Responding to allegations levelled by the Pradesh Congress Committee president Karan Mahara on BJP leaders, Chauhan opined that the Congress doesn’t care about the victim or her family. He said that since the start, the Congress has been using this case to target BJP leaders and spread propaganda. Chauhan said, “The Congress had also taken out a rally in the past. The family members of Ankita Bhandari had not communicated any complaint to them at that time and neither did the locals support that political rally.
The situation was such that the PCC president Karan Mahara even abused the people of Garhwal verbally in frustration. Exploiting the latest allegations by Ankita’s kinfolk, the Congress is trying to conpire against the BJP leaders and trying to defame them. This comes despite the investigation agencies not leaving any stone unturned to ensure justice to Ankita and punishment to the culprits. When it comes to the bereaved family members, communication with them is continuing from the level of the administration to the chief minister. The cooperation which the family members had sought in the investigation was met on time.
The allegations levelled by the family members – which the Congress is exploiting-have been made in an emotional state. If the Congress knows the ‘VIP’ allegedly involved in the case, it should not go on the backfoot repeatedly when it is asked to reveal the identity of that person. The Congress is using Ankita’s family members as a front to orchestrate its conspiracy against the BJP, which will not be tolerated,” the BJP State media in-charge stressed.–
