As part of the preparations for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, the spokesperson of All India Congress Committee and in charge of communication wing of Uttarakhand Congress Chayanika Uniyal took a review meeting of the media department of the party on Friday. In the meeting she took information about the media coordinators at the district, assembly constituency and block levels. She said that the media coordinators on the vacant positions should be appointed within a week. In the meeting Uniyal gave the message of party high command to the media panellists. Uniyal said that soon a district level meeting of media coordinators will be held for better media management at district level. She directed that the media department of the Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) will hold meetings with the assembly level media coordinators every week. In these meetings discussions on the burning issues will be held.
The meeting was attended by the party’s State vice president Mathura Dutt Joshi, media in-charge PK Agarwal, vice president Surya Kant Dhasmana, general secretary (Organisation) Mahendra Negi, chief spokesperson Garima Dasauni and others.
