Congress’s allegation on duration of Budget session baseless & mischievous: Chamoli

 The State spokesperson of Bharatiya Janata Party Vinod Chamoli has said that the allegation of the Congress party regarding the duration of the upcoming Budget session of Vidhan Sabha are baseless. 

 He said that the duration of the session is determined by the Business Advisory Committee (BAC) of the House and it includes members of the opposition. Chamoli said that the members of the Congress party are spreading lies and confusion on the duration of the House which is a part of its negative politics. 

He said that the people of the State know that in the last nine years, the Congress party has failed to discharge its duties as the principal opposition party. The only objective of the Congress members is to create commotion in the House and try to grab the attention of the media.  He said that in the last nine years, the opposition is working on the agenda of boycott and so their demand of extending the duration of session lacks substance. The BJP leader however added the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has already said that the duration of the Budget session can be increased if the need arises. 

Chamoli claimed that the BJP played the role of the opposition perfectly during the Congress rule in the State due to which extended sessions of the Vidhan Sabha were held. Chamoli added that following the positive attitude of BJP and its role in opposition the people of Uttarakhand handed over the power of the State to it. He claimed that the people of the State will never tolerate the negative politics of the Congress party.
