Construction of Sainya Dham: Minister reprimands officers for slow pace of work

The soldier welfare and agriculture minister Ganesh Joshi visited the under construction Sainya Dham at Guniyal Gaon on Wednesday. The minister expressed his displeasure on the slow pace of construction works and reprimanded the officers concern. After inspecting the site Joshi held a meeting with the officers of the department, district administration and officers of the work execution agency. In the meeting, he directed the officers to ensure that the work on the Sainya Dham gets completed within the stipulated period of time. He said that the work on the site should be expedited and the construction activity should get compulsorily completed till December this year.
The minister said that every fifth soldier deployed in the security of the country is from Uttarakhand and the brave-hearts of the State have remained at the forefront in giving highest sacrifice for the country, He said that the martyred soldiers have no religion and caste and it is the duty of every citizen to cherish the memories of the martyrs. Joshi added that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has special affection towards the soldiers and he cares for every soldier. He said that the Sainya Dham is being constructed as per his idea. The minister informed that the main gate of the Sainya Dham will be named after the first Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) Late General Bipin Rawat.
He said that once completed Sainya Dham will be visited by the people like they come to the Char Dhams. The minister added that soil collected from the houses of 1734 martyrs and water of 28 sacred rivers were put in the foundation of the Amar Jawan Jyoti of the Sainya Dham. He expressed confidence that the Sainya Dham will be dedicated to the general public in the month of December. The meeting was attended by director Sainik Kalyan, Brigadier (Retd) Amrit Lal, SDM Nandan Kumar, deputy chairman district panchayat Dipal Pundir and others.
