Aggrieved hubby stages sit-in against professor wife

In latest Uttarakhand news, a la the famed Jyoti Maurya case in Uttar Pradesh, a husband has staged a sit-in in Buddha Park in Haldwani, alleging that his wife, on becoming a professor, keeps separating herself from him although he spent a lot of money on her studies, helping her to become a professor. The aggrieved husband-Nitin Jain, a businessman from Haridwar-further alleged that she had also filed several cases against him on cooked-up charges. He said that he was staging the sit-in for justice.
According to Nitin, when he was studying he came into contact with a woman. Friendship grew between them which culminated in their registry marriage in 2014. He claimed that after their marriage, he had inspired and financially helped her in her PhD studies. In 2016, she gave birth to their daughter. In 2018, she got a job in the education department in Rudraprayag. Meanwhile, as per the husband’s allegation, she developed an intimate relation with another man. One year later, she got the job of assistant professor in a government college. Nitin alleged that after this, she started deceiving her and even she was not allowing her husband to meet their daughter. He further said that emboldened by Jyoti Maurya case , he had come all his way from Haridwar to Haldwani to seek justice for the wrongs being done to him. He said he should be given the custody of his daughter. He alleged that some persons had instigated his wife to file cases against him and now, he was receiving threats from her. However, his wife declined to say anything on this matter, saying that the matter has been pending before court.
