Convocation ceremony held in SRHU

A segregated convocation ceremony spreading over four days was organised by the Swami Rama Himalayan University, Jollygrant ended on Wednesday. A total of 869 students were awarded degrees in two phases during the programme. In the second phase degrees were awarded to 227 doctors and 147 nurses.
Addressing the ceremony on Wednesday, the Vice Chancellor (VC) of Swami Rama Himalayan University, Vijay Dhasmana said that the institute is working in the direction of removing the shortage of doctors in the mountainous areas of the state. Exhorting the doctors, nurses and Para medical staff to become sensitive and provide best possible treatment to the patients Dhasmana said that the problems of patients should be listened with empathy. The registrar of the university Sushila Sharma said that a total of 869 degrees were awarded to the students during the ceremony in which the protocols of the pandemic of Covid-19 were strictly adhered to.
Dr Alia Tausif, Dr Nishant Setia, Dr Ishika Gandhi, Dr Shivani Mehra, Dr Akshi Singhal, Dr Shivangi Singh, Sejal Singh, Ojasvi Mittal, Ramita Goyal, Milan Arora, Tapan Pandey, Ruchika Puri, Rishika Trivedi, Arjun Sehgal, Akash Gupta and Mansvi Kalra were given Academic awards while Swami Rama Best Graduate Award was conferred upon Dr Manisvi Kalra (MBBS) and Rakesh Pundir (Nursing).
The Pro Vice Chancellor Dr Vijendra Chauhan, Dr Prakash Keshaviah and others were present on the occasion.
