The treatment and admission of Covid-19 patients in the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya (Coronation) hospital would start from Wednesday. The hospital has made preparation for admission of 30 patients of the disease initially. The district administration was planning to reserve 100 beds for Covid-19 patients but shortage of staff acted as a constraint. “We will start admitting patients from Wednesday.
We have made our own arrangements for manpower to manage things here,’’ said the Chief Medical Superintendent (CMS) of Coronation hospital Dr Manoj Upreti. The in charge of CHC Raipur Dr Anand Shukla told The Pioneer that 50 beds with oxygen support would start in the Covid Care Centre of Raipur. Here patients with oxygen level 85 to 90 and with no history of co-morbidity would be kept.
