In latest news from Doon, a municipal corporation team demolished several houses illegally constructed on the civic body’s land, braving anger from people. Notably, in all, 525 shanties in 27 slums constructed on the side of Rispana river had been identified in 2016. The demolition drive was conducted in accordance with the National Green Tribunal’s order to raze down such illegal houses by June 30.
