29 new cases reported on Friday in U’khand
The state health department reported 29 new cases of the novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) and 48 recoveries from the disease in Uttarakhand on Friday. No death from the disease was reported in the state on the day.
The cumulative count of Covid-19 patients in the state is now at 3,42,336 while a total of 3,28,419 patients have recovered from the disease so far. In the state 7367 people have lost their lives to Covid -19 till date. The recovery percentage from the disease is now at 95.93.
The state health department reported five new patients of Covid -19 each from Dehradun, Pithoragarh and Rudraprayag, four from Haridwar and Udham Singh Nagar, two from Bageshwar and one each from Chamoli, Pauri, Tehri and Uttarkashi. No new cases of the disease were reported from Almora, Champawat and Nainital districts on the day. The state now has 513 active cases of Covid 19. Dehradun with 235 cases is at top of the table of active cases while Pithoragarh is at second spot with 59 active cases. Almora, Haridwar, Nainital and Tehri have only four active cases of the disease each.
The state reported one new case of Mucormycosis (Black fungus) on Friday. A total of 564 patients of Black Fungus have been reported till date in the state and out of them 126 have died. In the ongoing vaccination drive 47,331 people were vaccinated in 553 sessions held on Friday in different parts of the state.
