Covid 19: 112 test positive, five die & 98 recover in State on Sunday
A total of 112 people tested positive for Covid-19 while five patients died from the disease in the state on Sunday. On the same day, a total of 98 patients recovered from the disease in the state. The recovery percentage in the state is currently 94.46 per cent.
According to information provided by the health department, the state has so far had 94,803 total cumulative Covid positive cases out of which 89,552 have recovered. There are currently 2,354 active cases in the state.
Of the positive cases reported on Sunday, the highest-59 was from Dehradun district followed by 16 in Nainital and 13 in Udham Singh Nagar. Further, 11 cases were reported from Haridwar district, six from Chamoli, three each from Champawat and Rudraprayag and one from Uttarkashi. Zero cases were reported from Pauri, Pithoragarh, Tehri, Almora and Bageshwar districts. When it comes to the active cases, Dehradun has the highest at 549 followed by Nainital district with 406 and Haridwar with 306 cases. Among the other districts, there are 179 active cases in Almora, 135 in Bageshwar, 109 in Chamoli, 31 in Champawat, 111 in Pauri, 103 in Pithoragarh, 40 in Rudraprayag, 143 in Tehri, 144 in Udham Singh Nagar and 98 in Uttarkashi.
