Covid-19; 12 new cases, 28 recoveries in U’khand

The state health department reported 12 new cases of the novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) and 28 recoveries from the disease in Uttarakhand on Tuesday. Death of one patient of the disease was reported on the day in the state.
The cumulative count of Covid-19 patients in the state is now at 3,43,405 while a total of 3,29,679 patients have recovered from the disease so far. In the state, 7391 people have lost their lives to Covid -19 till date. The recovery percentage from the disease is at 96 while the sample positivity rate on Tuesday was 0.07 per cent.
Death of one patient of the disease was reported from Government Doon Medical College (GDMC) Dehradun on the day. The state health department reported four new patients of Covid -19 from Dehradun, three from Udham Singh Nagar, two from Haridwar and one each from Almora, Bageshwar and Nainital on Tuesday. No new cases of the disease were reported from Bageshwar, Champawat, Pauri, Pithoragarh, Rudraprayag, Tehri and Uttarkashi on the day.
The state now has 249 active cases of Covid-19. Dehradun with 126 cases is at the top of the table of active cases while Pauri has 30 active cases. Tehri has active cases of the disease.
In the ongoing vaccination drive 67,131 people were vaccinated in 961 sessions in the state held on Tuesday. As per the data of the state health department 72,61,571 people in the state have received the first dose of vaccine while 28,34,553 have received both doses of the vaccine.
