The state health department reported only 12 new cases of the novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) and 10 recoveries from the disease in Uttarakhand on Tuesday. No death from the disease was reported in the state on the day.
The cumulative count of Covid-19 patients in the state is now at 3,43,596 while a total of 3,29,946 patients have recovered from the disease so far. In the state, 7395 people have lost their lives to Covid -19 till date. The recovery percentage from the disease is at 96.03 while the sample positivity rate on Tuesday was 0.08 per cent.
The state health department reported five new patients of Covid -19 from Dehradun, two from Almora and one each from Champawat, Haridwar, Pauri, Pithoragarh and Rudraprayag on Tuesday. No new cases were reported from the remaining districts on the day.
The state now has 149 active cases of Covid-19. Dehradun with 89 cases is at the top of the table of active cases while Uttarkashi has no active case of the disease now.
In the ongoing vaccination drive 32,583 people were vaccinated in 868 sessions in the state held on Tuesday.
