Covid-19; 17 new cases, 20 recoveries in U’khand

The state health department reported 17 new cases of the novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) and 20 recoveries from the disease in Uttarakhand on Thursday. Death of no patient was reported from the disease on the day. The cumulative count of Covid-19 patients in the state is now at 3,43,445 while a total of 3,29,715 patients have recovered from the disease so far. In the state, 7391 people have lost their lives to Covid -19 till date. The recovery percentage from the disease is at 96 while the sample positivity rate on Thursday was 0.10 per cent.
The state health department reported six new patients of Covid -19 from Dehradun, two each from Pithoragarh, Rudraprayag and Uttarkashi and one each from Almora, Champawat, Haridwar, Nainital and Tehri on Thursday. No new cases of the disease were reported from Bageshwar, Chamoli, Pauri and Udham Singh Nagar districts on the day.
The state now has 249 active cases of Covid-19. Dehradun with 124 cases is at the top of the table of active cases while Pauri has 30 active cases. Tehri has only one active case of the disease now.
In the ongoing vaccination drive 61,1169 people were vaccinated in 1108 sessions in the state held on Thursday. As per the data of the state health department 72,93,772 people in the state have received the first dose of vaccine while 29,21,762 have received both doses of the vaccine.
