Covid-19; 22 new patients, one death in U’khand

Death of one patient from the novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) was reported in Uttarakhand on Wednesday. With this the death toll from the disease in the state has mounted to 7,396.
The state health department reported 22 new cases of the disease and seven recoveries from the disease on Wednesday.
The cumulative count of Covid-19 patients in the state is now at 3,43,618 while a total of 3,29,953 patients have recovered from the disease so far. The recovery percentage from the disease is at 96.02 while the sample positivity rate on Wednesday was 0.14 per cent.
The state health department reported ten new patients of Covid -19 from Dehradun, two each from Almora, Pauri, Pithoragarh and Haridwar while one case each was found in Champawat, Nainital, Rudraprayag and Udham Singh Nagar on Wednesday. No new cases were reported from Bageshwar, Chamoli, Tehri and Uttarkashi districts on the day.
The state now has 163 active cases of Covid-19. Dehradun with 96 cases is at the top of the table of active cases while Uttarkashi has no active case of the disease now.
In the ongoing vaccination drive 24,345 people were vaccinated in 699 sessions in the state held on Wednesday.
