Zero new cases in seven districts
The state health department reported 25 new cases of the novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) and 14 recoveries from the disease on Wednesday. No death from the disease was reported on the day. The cumulative count of Covid-19 patients in the state is now at 3,43,001 while a total of 3,29,197 patients have recovered from the disease so far. In the state, 7387 people have lost their lives to Covid -19 till date. The recovery percentage from the disease is at 95.98 while the sample positivity rate on Wednesday was 0.13 per cent.
The state health department reported seven new patients of Covid -19 each from Dehradun and five each from Haridwar and Pithoragarh, three each from Pauri and Uttarkashi and two from Rudraprayag district on Wednesday. No new cases of the disease were reported from the remaining seven districts on the day.
The state now has 365 active cases of Covid-19. Dehradun with 140 cases is at the top of the table of active cases while Pauri has 58 active cases. Bageshwar district is at the bottom of the table with only one active case of the disease. In the ongoing vaccination drive 85,530 people were vaccinated in 1083 sessions in the state held on Wednesday.
