The state health department reported 2,682 new cases of the novel Coronavirus (Covid 19) on Sunday. No death from the disease was reported on the day. The numbers of active cases of the disease have now increased to 17,223 in the state.
The cumulative count of Covid-19 patients in the state is now at 3,69,954 while a total of 3,37,865 patients have recovered from the disease so far. A total of 7440 people have died in the state so far from Covid-19. The recovery percentage from the disease is 91.33 per cent.
The state health department reported 1331 new patients from Dehradun, 351 from Haridwar, 281 from Udham Singh Nagar, 188 from Nainital, 159 from Pauri, 79 from Tehri, 74 from Almora, 71 from Bageshwar, 69 from Pithoragarh, 35 from Chamoli, 31 from Uttarkashi and 13 from Rudraprayag district on Sunday. No new case was reported from Champawat district on the day.
The active case count of Covid-19 in the state has now jumped to 17,233. Dehradun with 7,411 cases is at the top of the table of active cases while Haridwar has 2684 active cases of the disease which is followed by Nainital district with 2568 active cases. Uttarkashi is at the bottom of the table with 121 active cases of the disease. In the ongoing vaccination drive 20,304 people were vaccinated in 636 sessions in the state held on Sunday.
