19 new cases reported in U’khand
The state health department reported only 19 new cases of the novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) and nine recoveries from the disease in Uttarakhand on Friday. No death from the disease was reported in the state on the day.
The cumulative count of Covid-19 patients in the state is now at 3,43,645 while a total of 3,29,976 patients have recovered from the disease so far. In the state, 7,396 people have lost their lives to Covid -19 virus till date. The recovery percentage from the disease is at 96.02 per cent while the sample positivity rate on Friday was 0.12 per cent.
The state health department reported eight new patients from Pithoragarh, five each from Dehradun and Nainital and one from Haridwar districts on Friday. No new case of Covid-19 was reported from the remaining nine districts on the day.
The state now has 166 active cases of Covid-19. Dehradun with 94 cases is at the top of the table of active cases while Tehri and Champawat have no active cases of the disease now.
In the ongoing vaccination drive 30,219 people were vaccinated in 1,017 sessions in the state held on Friday.
