Covid-19, 30 new cases, 16 recoveries and one death reported on Sunday
28 sessions held to vaccinate 496 beneficiaries across state
Thirty new Covid-19 positive cases were reported in the state on Sunday with 16 persons recovering and one person dying from the disease on the same day. At the same time, 28 sessions were held in the state on Sunday wherein a total of 496 persons were vaccinated against Covid-19. According to the health department, the cumulative number of beneficiaries who have received the first dose of the vaccine in the state is 1,37,005 while the cumulative number of beneficiaries who have received the second dose of the vaccine is 7,925.
With 30 new cases of Covid being reported in the state on Sunday, the total number of active cases in Uttarakhand currently stands at 457 while the recovery percentage is 96.35 per cent. The total cumulative number of positive Covid-19 cases in the state so far is 96,687 out of which 93,158 have recovered from the disease.
The total number of Covid-19 deaths reported in the state so far is 1,687 considering which the mortality rate is 1.74 per cent. Of the persons found positive on Sunday, 13 were from Dehradun district, six from Nainital, four from Haridwar, three from Udham Singh Nagar, two from Tehri and one each from Chamoli and Pauri districts. Out of the total active cases in the state, there are 132 in Haridwar district, 78 in Nainital, 71 in Almora, 27 in Dehradun and 26 in Pauri. Of the remaining districts, Bageshwar has 10 active cases while there are 16 in Chamoli, 12 in Champawat, 16 in Pithoragarh, two in Rudraprayag, 19 in Tehri, 37 in Udham Singh Nagar and 11 in Uttarkashi.
