Covid -19 cases rise alarmingly in U’khand

Death of one patient, 106 new cases reported on Thursday
Ahead of the start of the Char Dham Yatra the surge in the cases of the Covid-19 in Uttarakhand is continuing unabatedly.
After reporting 198 new cases of the disease in the last two days , the State health department reported 106 new cases of Covid-19 from different parts of the State on Thursday. One patient of the disease was reported from the Government Doon Medical College (GDMC) hospital on the day. The authorities reported 54 new cases of Covid-19 from Dehradun on Thursday. The department also found 23 new cases of the disease in Nainital, six in Haridwar, five each in Almora and Uttarkashi, three each in Chamoli and Pithoragarh, two each in Bageshwar, Champawat and Pauri and one in Udham Singh Nagar on the day.
The authorities declared 49 patients cured from the disease on the day. The department has so far detected 896 new cases of the disease from January 1 this year in the State . A total of 634 patients have recovered from the disease so far. A total of seven patients have lost their lives from the disease since January 1 this year in the State. The State now has 255 active patients of Covid-19. Dehradun has 100 active cases of the disease while there are 53 in Nainital, 28 in Haridwar, 16 in Almora, 11 in Uttarkashi, nine in Tehri, eight each in Chamoli and Pauri, six in Bageshwar, five in Udham Singh Nagar, three in Pithoragarh and one active case in Rudraprayag.
